Pool Enclosures
Our first pool enclosure was completed in 1988. Weston Turville Manor house, an important listed building and family home in Buckinghamshire had just added a swimming pool. All year round use was required so a practical and effective enclosure was essential.
The design challenge of blending in with such a location was formidable.
Hardwood frames reflecting the traditional handmade craftsmanship of the past were an important feature. Large opening doors allowed the adjoining terraced patio area to really become part of the pool space.
Glazed Lanterns again made in traditional wood provided loads of natural light.
The orangery style poolhouse became such a feature to the property that further additions were made mirroring the same style.
Further notable projects followed including the 5 star Adare Manor hotel and Golf resort in County Limerick. Set in the unique surroundings of this Gothic style Manor house our pool enclosure was constructed using Western Red Cedar from British Columbia.
