Norman Pratt Sunrooms
Our Sunrooms are designed and constructed to enhance and add comfortable additional living space, which can be used as a bright kitchen or dining room extention.
A sunroom is generally constructed using a combination of solid wall, roof and glass construction similar to a conventional building. The perfect sunroom should be equally comfortable during very warm summer days or cold winter nights. Our experience over many years designing and installing conservatories and sunrooms give us the upper hand when it comes to the perfect sunroom to blend in with your existing house and give all the benefits of natural light, heat and comfort. The finish design is normally somewhere between a conservatory and a room extension. The side and roof glazing should be designed to gain maximum benefit from natural light and solar gains, while solid roof and wall areas should be well insulated so that heat loss is reduced to a minimum Double or triple glazing is available for both side and roof glazing. Triple glazed elements can be used for North facing glazing while high performance double glazing can be used for South facing. Sunrooms can be designed to fit into tight spaces if the light can be introduced through the roof in the form of skylights or rooflights.
